Behind the Resume

Every hiring manager faces a tough decision when selecting new employees: who should be invited for an interview, and who is the right fit for this crucial role? That's why I created this page—to give you, the visitor, a chance to get to know me better. If you'd rather not read "My Story," feel free to watch my introduction video at the bottom of the page.

My Story

For most of my life, I never imagined I would pursue a career in data analytics. My academic path led me through history and philosophy—disciplines that shaped my way of thinking but didn't initially seem connected to data. However, as I navigated my studies and early career, I discovered something crucial: the way I approach problems, analyze trends, and seek patterns is fundamentally aligned with data analysis.

I realized that history is more than just stories; it’s a collection of data points—dates, events, causes, and effects—all requiring careful analysis. In philosophy, I trained my mind to think critically, evaluate evidence, and construct logical arguments. These skills turned out to be surprisingly relevant when I started working with data.

My transition into data analytics wasn’t immediate. At first, I hesitated, unsure whether I could pivot into a field that seemed so different from my background. But I was determined to build a career where I could apply my analytical mindset in a more structured and impactful way. I started learning on my own—mastering Excel, SQL, and Power BI through hands-on projects and practical experience. In my role as a Risk Analyst, I worked with large datasets, created reports, and performed data-driven assessments. I then took my learning further by completing a Data Analyst Bootcamp, which deepened my knowledge of Python and advanced analytical techniques.

Now, I don’t just see myself as someone transitioning into data—I am a data analyst. I thrive on uncovering insights, solving problems, and turning raw data into meaningful conclusions. I’ve taken the initiative to build a solid foundation, and I’m ready to bring my skills, curiosity, and problem-solving abilities to a team that values data-driven decision-making.

Every career path has its twists and turns, and mine has been no exception. But if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that our backgrounds don’t define us—our willingness to grow and adapt does. My story isn’t about leaving one field for another; it’s about evolving my skills and passions to find the right fit. And that’s what excites me most about data analytics—it’s a field that rewards curiosity, continuous learning, and a drive to uncover the truth hidden in data.
